Content Guidelines

HelloTalk works tirelessly to ensure the safety of all community members. Along with our own efforts, we rely on your help to keep the community safe. Please report any behavior or content that you feel is inappropriate or makes you uncomfortable. Together, we can continue to ensure HelloTalk is a safe place for education and connection 😊. There are two ways you can help keep the community safe:

2. Report content

Reporting Members

Your well being is super important to us. You can report a member in the event you feel a member is behaving inappropriately or makes you feel uncomfortable. Here is what to do.

Report a member

1. Tap the member's profile picture to view their profile
2. Tap the ... in the top-right of the member's profile page
3. Tap 'Report'

Report a member under Chat Settings

1. Open the chat you wish to report
2. Tap the hexagon icon in the top-right to open Chat Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap 'Report'

Report a member in Voiceroom

1. Tap the member's profile picture
2. Tap the ... icon in the top right of the pop-up window
3. Tap 'Report'

Report a member in Live

You can navigate to the member's profile picture or you can report one of their comments directly by holding down on the comment:

Report a Live host

1. Tap the viewers (eye icon) in the top-right of the screen
2. Tap 'Report' in the pop-up window

Reporting Content

Here's what to do to report inappropriate content.

Report a Moment

1. Navigate to the Moment you wish to report
2. Tap the ... icon beside the Moments post
3. Tap 'Report'

Report a Comment

1. Navigate to the Moment post
2. Hold down on the comment you wish to report
3. Tap 'Report'

We will use our own discretion to remove content and members that do not adhere to these guidelines. These are meant to keep HelloTalk a fun, safe, and educational experience for all. See you in the community!
